Essential Standards of Care

IMG_0135_edited.jpg
We understand how difficult it is for families to choose the right care home for loved ones, so that's why we are here to help every step of the way.

Working with health and social care integration, we ensure the most appropriate care and support for health and well-being of each of our residents.

We take everything into account when assessing the needs of our residents including cultural background, language, gender, disability, age, sexuality, religion and beliefs to provide a person-centred approach to care.

We ensure that each of our residents receives the very best care that supports what's best for them and helps to maximise their own independence.
Every member of staff within Summerhill Home provides the following Essential Standards of Care:

  • To be treated with respect, dignity and compassion
  • To have privacy in all personal matters
  • To be kept safe and fully informed about all aspects of care, treatment and support
  • To live in pleasant, clean, comfortable and welcoming surroundings
  • To be given opportunities, encouragement and support to live as full a life as possible
  • To have personal records treated confidentially, kept safe and updated
  • Access to an open and honest complaints procedure to raise concerns
  • To be protected from abuse or the risk of abuse and to have human rights observed
About the Care Inspectorate
